Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a 2nd shift operator in Gaffney, SC who will service molding presses, move materials and coordinate with supervisors to meet customer demand. The role requires forklift experience, reliable attendance, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers a base pay of $17 per hour plus a $1 shift differential for 3pm–11pm shifts, with benefits starting day one and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• 2 yrs minimum forklift experience required.
• Must obtain Cornerstone Building Brands certified forklift license.
• Excellent attendance and work habits including self-motivation.
• Good communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Machine operator experience required.
• Must operate all molding machines in the department.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong organization skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure finished skids are transported to the correct area promptly.
• Change scrap gaylords in a timely fashion.
• Handle material and color changes on molding presses.
• Provide necessary materials to presses (resin, cardboard, skids).
• Coordinate with shift supervisors on kanban boards and priorities.
• Report safety violations to the supervisor promptly.
• Promote good housekeeping in the assigned area via 5S.
• Operate presses to assist with breaks when needed.
• Collaborate with department supervisor on daily priorities and obstacles.
• Advise supervisor when ready to assist in other areas.
