Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Manufacturing Material Handler for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3pm-11pm) at the Gaffney, SC facility. Responsible for ensuring presses run smoothly, coordinating material flow, and supporting shift supervisors on kanban priorities.

Responsibilities include forklift operation, material changes, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards. Benefits begin day 1 with weekly pay; strong attendance and reliability are expected.

Qualifications

• 2 yrs minimum forklift experience required.
• Must obtain Cornerstone Building Brands certified forklift license.
• Must have past history of exceptional attendance and work habits.
• Must have good communication skills and must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Must have machine operator experience.
• Must be able to operate all the molding machines in the department.
• Must demonstrate a high level of leadership, good organization skills, judgment, ability to get the job done, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• The physical demands of this job require frequently lifting/moving up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that finished good skids are transported to respective area in a timely fashion.
• Ensures that scrap gaylords are changed out in a timely fashion.
• Responsible for material & color changes on molding presses.
• Responsible for supplying necessary materials to all presses including resin, cardboard, skids, etc.
• Works closely with shift supervisors on kanban boards and shifting priorities as needed.
• Reports any safety violations or issues involved with the machine or work area to the supervisor as quickly as possible.
• Help promote good housekeeping within assigned area through participation in assigned 5S zone.
• Must be able to operate all presses to assist with breaks when necessary.
• Work closely with department supervisor and team leader on daily priorities, obstacles preventing product from getting to the customer, or any additional support needed on the floor.
• Advise department supervisor and/or team leader when caught up and able to assist in other areas.
