Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electro-mechanical / electronic engineering or equivalent.
• Self-motivated, hands on technician who can work well within a team environment. Possess a high sense of urgency and the ability to work with limited supervision.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience directly supporting production line equipment and systems such as SMT pick and place, AOI, reflow ovens, glue dispense, test handler and test equipment.
• Knowledge of Genesis platform, Disco saw, Fico molding system, BTU reflow oven, Axion platform, Delta handler, Rofin laser and lapping systems is a plus.
• Must have proven success in identifying, troubleshooting and repairing equipment with mechanical or electrical problems.
• Ability to train and mentor manufacturing personnel and develop work instructions.
• Strong mechanical system understanding and pneumatics; read electrical schematics; programming and debugging automated equipment; PLCs and servos.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs on production equipment to meet schedules and ensure optimum operation.
• Provide continuous technical support to production operators.
• Train and evaluate operators on process and equipment knowledge.
• Maintain and purchase spare parts and supplies, forecasting inventory and verifying receipts.
• Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
• Improve setups and changeovers; maximize equipment capacity and document maintenance.
• Develop and improve equipment maintenance documentation.
• Support manufacturing and test engineering groups; assist tests and studies as needed.
