Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Worthington, Minnesota, seeks a Technician to support vaccine production at our Animal Health facility. The role involves preparing media, operating fermentation vessels, and aseptic processing in a cleanroom environment, while following SOPs and cGMP guidelines.

The position is a 2nd shift (1:00 PM–9:30 PM) with weekend rotations after training, some overtime, and a salary range of $44,700–$70,500. Eligible for annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor's in Biology/Microbiology preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with others.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test.

Responsibilities

• Position prepares media, operates fermentation vessels, and performs cleaning/disinfecting of equipment and laboratories.
• Position works in a clean, aseptic environment (cleanroom environment).
• Follow Written SOPs and Outlines of Production; ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.
