Job summary

Floracraft-Corporation in Michigan is seeking a warehouse associate to verify quantity, labeling, and packing for FoM shipments, and to operate light-duty machinery.

You will use scanners and computers to process orders, rotate tasks across equipment, and maintain safety per MIOSHA/OSHA guidelines; forklift certification is required or willing to obtain it; forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to count and apply counting guidelines accurately.
• Forklift certification required or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to operate pallet jack and basic warehouse equipment.
• Ability to use scanner and computer to process orders safely.

Responsibilities

• Counts product items; labels per guidelines; packs items into boxes or pallets.
• Performs light-duty machine operation as part of the packing process.
• Uses scanner to scan product and uses computer to process orders.
• Rotates jobs and machines on a regular basis to cover workload.
• Performs other job responsibilities as required.
• Complies with MIOSHA/OSHA safety guidelines while performing duties.

General Description: Verifies quantity, labeling and packing of FoM ready for shipment by performing the following duties.

Job Responsibilities:

• Counts product items; labels per guidelines; places items in packages and/or boxes; seals package and/or box and places on pallet.
• Performs light-duty machine operation.
• Uses scanner to scan product and uses computer to process orders.
• Rotates jobs and machines on a regular basis.
• Performs other job responsibilities as required.
• Forklift certification required or willingness to get forklift certified.

Skills & Abilities Required:

• Ability to count;
• Ability to operate pallet jack, as needed;
• Ability to operate scanner and computer;
• Ability to drive and operate a forklift;
• Ability to cross-train in other areas, as needed; and
• Ability to work safely within MIOSHA/OSHA guidelines.
