Job summary

Fleet Laboratories is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic on 2nd Shift at our Lynchburg, VA facility. You will apply technical skills to maintain and repair electromechanical equipment, HVAC, and production systems to support manufacturing and ensure safe, quality operations.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent with an accredited apprenticeship and at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equal training.
• Minimum of two years of related experience.
• Knowledge of electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair on electromechanical devices, machinery, HVAC, fixtures, and furnishings throughout the facility.
• Minimize downtime and improve production capabilities by maintaining and improving equipment.
• Train Production and Maintenance personnel on modifications or installation of equipment and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Research manuals and drawings for procurement of replacement parts and supplies.
• Provide feedback to the Maintenance Mechanic Leader and Supervisor regarding equipment condition.
• Maintain machines to ensure GMP-compliant, safe, clean work areas and correct speeds.
• Perform other related duties as required.
