Job summary

Hyosung HICO is hiring a Manufacturing Supervisor at our Memphis, TN facility. The role focuses on supervising manufacturing staff, managing work flow, and ensuring quality, safety, and productivity targets are met while maintaining a positive work environment.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in engineering/technical or business with 5 years of manufacturing experience, including 2 years in a supervisory capacity and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in engineering, technical or business field plus 5 years’ experience in manufacturing with exposure to lean manufacturing techniques including 2 years supervisory experience
• Developed verbal and written communication skills with interpersonal focus
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings and read schedules/work instructions

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily activities and staff to optimize manufacturing with emphasis on positive employee relations
• Selects and develops personnel to ensure efficient operation of the manufacturing function
• Supports employee development through training and cross-training opportunities
• Provides performance feedback and conducts timely performance reviews
• Maintains employee records including attendance and safety
• Conducts accident investigations as needed
• Develops training curricula with other departments
• Promotes culture of process control and quality excellence
• Interacts with other departments to tackle safety, quality, cost and service challenges
• Prepares work schedules and assigns tasks according to manufacturing schedule
• Participates in safety, team, manufacturing, supervisor, and engineering meetings
• Administers corrective actions and resolves employee complaints
• Maintains cleanliness and 6S across work areas
• Discusses and enforces Hyosung HICO quality, safety, and environmental policies
• Non-essential: supervises unscheduled work, supports lean initiatives, and collaborates to improve policies and procedures
