Job summary

Hyosung Hico Ltd seeks a capable manufacturing engineer/coordinator to manage design data transfer, schedule maintenance, and support continuous improvement across the manufacturing floor in Memphis, TN. The role focuses on ensuring accurate documentation, cost-effective production, and timely material flow.

You will collaborate with plant engineers, lead training, and assist the Manufacturing Manager as needed, driving Lean initiatives and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute design data to manufacturing to ensure full transfer of information.
• Monitor and provide engineering support to ensure products are manufactured cost‑effectively and in control per quality goals.
• Ensure drawings, BOMs, inspection sheets, and related information are available and current throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
• Monitor production progress to align with schedules and keep control boards updated.
• Assist or stand in for the Manufacturing Manager in meetings.
• Create and maintain manufacturing schedules to meet production targets.
• Review material requirements and ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
• Collaborate on equipment tooling justifications, purchasing documents, and 6S standards.
• Develop and implement continual improvement projects targeting quality, cost and delivery.
• Assist supervisors in troubleshooting process and quality issues; perform root cause analysis.
• Review and write work instructions.
• Lead training of technicians in Lean methods and process changes.
• Train new Manufacturing Engineers and other engineers in lean methods.
• Review specs for new equipment and TPM requirements.
• Support equipment installation and qualification activities.
• Analyze plant layout and propose improvements to manufacturing flow.
• Track and analyze labor content to set standards and evaluate variances.
