Job summary

LanceSoft is seeking an Engineering Technician for the 2nd shift in Colorado Springs to provide hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, test systems, and fixtures. This onsite role focuses on rapid issue resolution, sustaining operations, and coordinating with engineering to keep production running.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or 2+ years of equivalent experience, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, and proven problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field, or at least 2 years of hands-on manufacturing/maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, automated systems, or production test equipment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment and process issues.
• Hands-on preventive maintenance and corrective repairs.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and basic hand tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily sustaining support for manufacturing operations to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues involving equipment, fixtures, software, and network connectivity.
• Respond to equipment alarms, failures, and process interruptions promptly.
• Diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions as appropriate.
• Build, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain production fixtures and test equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and toolsets.
• Replace or repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic components as needed.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Coordinate with engineering to escalate complex issues and implement permanent solutions.
• Document maintenance activities and repairs in accordance with quality requirements.
• Manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities based on production needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and efficiency.
