Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and optimize production processes. You will collaborate with design, production, QA, and supply chain teams to improve productivity and quality on the line.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a related field and 5+ years of manufacturing experience, with Lean and Six Sigma expertise, CAD skills, and ERP familiarity. Shift is Mon-Fri, 2:00 pm–11:00 pm; salary range $100,000–$160,000, includes equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing/production engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and quality systems.
• CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing ERP familiarity.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and process flow diagrams.
• Collaborate with design, production, QA, and supply chain teams.
• Implement Lean/Six Sigma to enhance performance.
• Lead tool/fixture/equipment design and procurement.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct time and motion studies for optimal labor use.
• Support continuous improvement and safety compliance.
• Evaluate new technologies and automation opportunities.
