Job summary

JBS Prepared Foods in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Production Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to monitor, repair, and maintain Formax, Alkar, Multivac, Flexvac, and Slicer equipment.

You will complete work orders, follow safety procedures, and support downtime reduction while working 40+ hours per week in a plant environment. Training available for boiler, refrigeration, electrical systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Previous production maintenance experience is required.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery.
• Complete assigned work orders.
• Adhere to Safety Procedures including Lock Out Tag Out and other safety rules.
• Adjust, repair, and replace electrical and electronic equipment.
• Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Oversee mechanical work of equipment and address downtime defects.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and coordinate with Production Supervisors.
• Work 40+ hours per week in all areas of the plant.
