Job summary

Compass Group USA's ESFM division seeks a Maintenance Technician in Aurora, CO for a full-time, 2nd shift role. You will perform skilled maintenance across electrical, mechanical, plumbing and building systems, while supervising a team, handling complex repairs, and improving preventive maintenance programs.

Includes extensive safety and compliance responsibilities. Qualified candidates will have multiple trade licenses and at least 2 years of relevant commercial maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.
• Must have one of the following: Master license in one trade or two of the following Journeyman Electrical License or Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification in Refrigerant, or a Journeyman Plumber License, etc.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assists in decisions on repairs; reports major problems to the maintenance supervisor and foreman.
• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs or diagnoses malfunction of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Reads, comprehends and transmits complex instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teaches advanced maintenance skills to other members of the department.
• Reviews work of outside vendors and licensed maintenance workers; makes punch lists.
• Reports on and repairs discrepancies as assigned.
• Analyzes and corrects complex building system problems, alone or as part of a team.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes work orders, tests and inspections.
• Makes recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
• Serves as a member of facility emergency response team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
