Job summary

Pentair is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician in Manitowoc, WI to support manufacturing operations through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.

The role requires 2–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, with strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and robotics. The position involves working on 2nd shift and offers benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and industrial automation.
• Experience with robotic systems and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and basic computer literacy.
• Welding, machining, or fabrication experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods in warm, humid conditions.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, crawl, and work in confined spaces.
• Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB) and automated equipment.
• Support integration of automation technologies including sensors, actuators, and PLCs.
• Perform diagnostics and calibration of robotic arms and vision systems.
• Install and maintain electrical panels, motor controls, and power distribution systems.
• Interpret and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Perform electrical safety checks and ensure compliance with NEC and OSHA standards.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Fabricate and install custom fixtures and tooling to support production.
• Maintain building systems including HVAC, lighting, and compressed air.
• Respond to maintenance requests from office and non-manufacturing areas.
