Job summary

Performance Health in Akron, OH is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our production team. This on-site role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing facility and production equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems.

Hours are 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with competitive pay and benefits. A high school diploma and hands-on maintenance experience are required, with certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience working with machines and controls
• Completed certification from college or technical school is highly preferred
• Knowledge and use of CMMS maintenance work order systems
• Knowledge of word processing software and order processing systems
• Ability to lift/move up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to hazardous chemicals, dust, dirt, fumes, extreme heat and cold, wet or humid conditions

• This is a full-time position with an hourly pay rate of $30.00 - $40.00 and the opportunity to earn bonus, plus benefits.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance troubleshooting and repairs for plant facility and production equipment
• Responsible for building repairs, lighting, hvac, plumbing and wiring
• Preventative maintenance for production equipment and facility.
• Basic knowledge of facility equipment such as: boiler, chiller and hvac for minor repairs.
• Upgrade equipment by engineering and fabricating parts.
• Responsible for installing new equipment, as required.
• Electrical repair experience, light duty wiring and electrical troubleshooting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
