Job summary

Sierra Pacific Windows in Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair manufacturing equipment. You will work with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, dismantle and replace parts, fabricate components, and conduct diagnostic tests to ensure optimum operation.

The role may require overtime and weekend shifts during peak production times. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of related experience and proficiency with welding, cutting,

Qualifications

• 2 years' recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education.
• Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs.
• Experience with motor control circuits, 480 volt 3-phase AC/DC motors, starters, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Working knowledge of pneumatics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings.
• Proven experience using forklift, man lift, and most rigging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Dismantle machinery and locate cause of malfunctioning or mechanical breakdown, replace parts from stock or fabricate replacement parts as needed.
• Fabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devices.
• Effectively conduct and assess diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionality.
• Assemble, install, and proactively maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for efficient operation.
• Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, and forklift.
• Fabricate, weld, mill, and lathe as needed.
• Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area.
• Work may consist of various shifts and overtime including weekends and holidays during busy production times.
