Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America seeks a Maintenance Technician for our PCA Box Plant in Grand Rapids, MI. The technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment, while supporting preventive maintenance and responsive breakdown support in a production setting.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, a technical degree is a plus, and a 3-shift production schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• Technical degree in the mechanical or electrical trades is a plus.
• Production schedule includes 3 shifts; shifts assigned by plant needs and seniority.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Experience in the corrugated packaging or printing industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, or replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns in a production environment.
• Work as part of a multicraft team; training is provided to develop these skills.
