Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Technician II (2nd shift) to ensure predictable performance of factory machines and infrastructure at our new campus site hosting Marley and Ingenia Technologies. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and may tackle special projects for safety, sustainability, and growth.

The role emphasizes planned and unplanned maintenance, equipment changes, and collaboration with operations to develop new manufacturing cells.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
5-7 years of experience and technical training in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with blueprints, hand tools, and power tools.
Valid forklift operator's license, an asset.
Responsible, self-motivated, and a good team player.
Knowledge and practical experience with standard computer applications.
Adhering to OSHA regulations and using safety equipment.
Valid state or local electrician licenses and certifications such as CET or OSHA 10/30.
Strong understanding of AC/DC circuits, PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, and electrical testing tools.
External training at existing SPX locations including Olathe, KS and Montreal, Quebec.

Responsibilities

Perform planned maintenance on machines and equipment based upon cycles, timing or condition.
Perform unplanned maintenance when machines or equipment are not working properly.
Recommend appropriate maintenance procedures based on manuals and supplier information.
Recommend on-hand repair parts as determined by manuals or critical parts with longer lead times.
Assist the Maintenance Manager with updating and maintaining maintenance software records.
Perform work related to changes in manufacturing processes to support safety and efficiency.
Perform work related to the introduction of new equipment.
Assist operations in developing new manufacturing cells which could require production work.
