Job summary

Novonesis is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to ensure safe, reliable operation of our facility in Wausau, WI. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and cGMP utilities, troubleshoot issues, and document activities under SOPs.

The role requires an associate degree in a technical field, hands-on mechanical/electrical skills, CMMS knowledge, and a safety‑minded, collaborative team player.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on with mechanical and electrical components (motors, pumps, valves, bearings, etc.).
• Familiarity with tools and techniques listed (gear pullers, drilling, milling, tapping, lubrication, alignment, sealing).
• Knowledge of CMMS, reading control diagrams and P&IDs.
• Safety mindset and ability to work in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and cGMP utilities.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues promptly.
• Identify root causes and implement efficiency improvements.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with contractors.
• Document maintenance activities per SOPs and safety rules.
• Provide on-call support and participate in training and upgrades.
