Job summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our La Crosse, WI plant on the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM). The role focuses on routine and breakdown maintenance of processing and packaging equipment to keep the plant running safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, 1+ year in food manufacturing, and hands-on knowledge of preventive maintenance, mechanics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting. Compensation is negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance programs is required.
• Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics and basic electrical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on processing and packaging equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and assist with machine setups and rebuilds.
• Maintain line support systems and ensure safety compliance and SOP adherence.
• Complete work orders accurately and document activities per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and assist with inventory as needed.
