Job summary

ITW in Wisconsin seeks a Maintenance Technician to service and repair production equipment and install new machinery to meet specifications. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints, operate CMMS, and work across first or second shifts.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years maintenance experience; apprenticeship or journeyman preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and safety rules.
• Forklift truck experience and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Understand hydraulic and pneumatic systems; basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform PM documentation.

Responsibilities

• Tests and repairs malfunctioning production equipment and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Install equipment and programs to meet specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and determine needed actions.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks, hand tools, and micrometers.
• Assemble and install equipment with hand and power tools.
• Fabricate and repair chutes, conveyors, hoppers using welding skills.
• Modify dies and metal parts with milling machines and drill presses.
• Repair machinery and operate CMMS or PM software.
• Maintain safety and environmental compliance.
• Support janitorial, plumbing, painting, and other duties as needed.
