Job summary

Grand Traverse Container Inc. is hiring a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician for our Grand Rapids facility, joining a manufacturing team established in 1995. You will troubleshoot machine failures, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient operation of packaging equipment.

The role requires reading prints/diagrams, understanding pneumatics/hydraulics/electronics, and strong teamwork. Overtime and physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 lbs are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Must repair and maintain machinery (mechanical/electrical/hydraulics).
• Performs preventive maintenance on major equipment components.
• Reads plant prints and sketches to direct fabrication or repair.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to machine/system failures and troubleshoot as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep machines safe and efficient.
• Understand electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanics.
