Job summary

Amphenol Industrial Operations in Endicott, NY is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment. You will collaborate with engineering to minimize downtime, diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, and support CNC and automated systems.

Requires 4+ years of maintenance experience and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years experience as a maintenance technician or similar.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools; ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Work with electrical systems (motors, sensors, control panels) while adhering to safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems (air hoses, fittings, valves, solenoids, actuators).
• Perform precise mechanical adjustments and alignments to optimize equipment performance.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules; document work performed and parts used.
• Assist with installations, rebuilds, and calibrations on CNC, Swiss lathe, DMG milling centers, stamping presses, automated equipment, and automated systems.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to reduce downtime and improve throughput.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
