Amphenol Industrial Operations in Endicott, NY, is seeking a skilled Second Shift CNC Machinist to join a fast-growing manufacturing operation. You will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, interpret engineering drawings, and ensure parts meet exact specifications using precision measuring tools.

In this role you will monitor performance, seek improvements to cycle times and throughput, assist with lean initiatives, and train less experienced machinists while maintaining a strong safety

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes; reading blueprints.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers, lathes, and related equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Perform tool changes, fixture setup, offset adjustments, and program edits as needed.
• Verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
• Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities to improve cycle times, quality, and throughput.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure specifications.
• Support new product introductions, process development, and ramp-up activities.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow All Safety Requirements, Operating Procedures, And Company Policies.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with training less experienced machinists and machine operators.
