General Mills, Inc. in Joplin, MO, is hiring a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift (3:00 pm–11:30 pm) on a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime as needed. The plant operates 24/7 and focuses on pet food brands under Whitebridge Pet Brands.

You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment, work with Maximo CMMS, and participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Understanding of PLCs and electrical/electronic systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment.
• Follow safety policies to maintain a safe work environment.
• Install, maintain, repair, and replace industrial machinery and tools.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Manage work orders, parts, and data entry using Maximo CMMS.
• Provide technical support and plant leadership for troubleshooting.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Communicate effectively with all levels and contractors.
• Assist in training new employees.
