Job summary

Toledo Tool & Die is seeking Maintenance/Electrical Technicians in Maumee, Ohio. This full-time role supports production by installing and maintaining machines, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems, and performing preventive maintenance.

You will work 2nd shift (Sun–Thu, 2PM–10PM) with opportunities for growth and a safe, clean environment. Qualifications include 5+ years in industrial maintenance, high school diploma, ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints,

Qualifications

  • Must have 5+ years of progressive industrial experience in electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and industrial skills.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance with the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and safety-minded approach.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain production machines and plant equipment.
  • Assist with emergency/unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance.
  • Perform electrical duties including PLCs and reading electrical drawings; work with multiple voltages.
  • Conduct mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Read manuals and work orders; perform basic machining and fabrication; weld as needed.
  • Diagnose problems, replace parts, test and adjust; perform preventive maintenance.
  • Work with plumbing and carpentry tasks; operate aerial lifts; use hand and power tools.
  • Ensure safety, report anomalies, and stop production if unsafe conditions arise.

Key Responsibilites
  • Perform simple-to-complex duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant’s equipment.
  • Provide assistance for emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform electrical duties including, but not limited to PLCs, reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics; Working with 120v, 220v, 480v and 13.8k volt circuits; Installing/repairing and trouble-shooting starters, relays, switches, proximity circuits, variable frequency drives (VFD), contactors and input/output circuits.
  • Perform mechanical tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform simple to complex fabrication projects which typically involving welding components together.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Perform aerial tasks using a scissor lifts, baskets and booms.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Experience reading and interpreting Blueprints, electrical schematics and technical manuals.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen).
  • Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).
  • Experience in industrial maintenance
  • 5+ years of progressive industrial experience in the following: electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and industrial skills.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Report to work on time to support production startup.
  • Possess good physical stamina and coordination.
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull objects that are up to 50 pounds.
  • Work as a team, good communication skills, basic math skills, physical dexterity.
  • Must have valid drivers' license
