Toledo Tool & Die, located near the Michigan/Ohio border, has been serving both states since 1940. We are adding Maintenance Technicians to support our continued growth. Hours: 2nd SHIFT Monday‑Friday, 2:00 PM‑10:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform simple‑to‑complex duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant’s equipment.
- Provide assistance for emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform electrical duties including PLCs, reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics; working with 120 V, 220 V, 480 V and 13.8 kV circuits; installing/repairing and troubleshooting starters, relays, switches, proximity circuits, variable frequency drives (VFD), contactors and input/output circuits.
- Perform mechanical tasks including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Perform simple to complex fabrication projects which typically involve welding components together.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Perform aerial tasks using scissor lifts, baskets and booms.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre‑employment screening (background check and drug screen).
- Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).
- Experience in industrial maintenance.
- 5 or more years of progressive industrial experience in electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and industrial skills.
- Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
- Report to work on time to support production startup.
- Possess good physical stamina and coordination.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull objects that are up to 50 pounds.
- Work as a team, good communication skills, basic math skills, physical dexterity.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
