Dexstar Wheel is the leading domestic steel wheel manufacturing company located in Elkhart, Indiana. We are the largest steel wheel supplier to American trailer manufacturers and the RV industry. We are owned by American Kenda Rubber, based in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. We are seeking to add two Maintenance Technicians for our 2nd shift team, each with 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience. The pay rate is $24+ per hour, with 50+ hours per week.

Education/Experience Required:

• High school diploma or GED with at least 5 years of relevant experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
• Good communication, reasoning, math, and computer skills
• Ability to pass company certification for forklift license
• Knowledge of PLCs, mechanical stamping, hydraulic and pneumatic press maintenance is a plus; welding skills are required
• Ability to read blueprints, codes, service manuals, and manufacturer specifications

Mechanical and Electrical Knowledge:

• Mechanical: 2+ years
• Electrical: 2+ years
• Manufacturing: 2+ years
• PLC/Controls: 2+ years

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, repair, and rebuild equipment such as Hydraulic Rim Lines, Welders, Mechanical Presses, Wash lines, E-Coat lines, and Powder Coat lines
• Troubleshoot and perform electrical repairs, including installing pumps and motors; ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Install and maintain piping systems for water, air, and electrical conduits, including hydraulic hoses
• Set up and operate equipment like drill presses, grinders, cut-off saws, band saws, welding equipment, and other metalworking tools
• Maintain equipment logs and perform preventative maintenance tasks such as changing oils, filters, and checking pressures and hoses
• Repair and maintain sprayer systems and related fixtures
