Job summary

Natural Essentials is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to troubleshoot and repair equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and set up production lines. You will adjust fills, program coders, label machines, and ensure proper operation of MaChines.

You must follow lockout/tag-out safety procedures, handle minor repairs, and respond quickly to emergencies while working with supervision. Physical work includes lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical training in mechanics/electrical work is a plus.
• Strong motivation, communication and computer skills are essential.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate various equipment safely.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Technician/Machine Set Up.

Job Description

The Maintenance Tech I is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment, conducting preventive maintenance, other duties assigned. Maintenance Tech I is responsible to know how to set up every production line and adjust all fills, label machines, and coders.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment.
• Must display some aptitude with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment.
• Knows how to safely use hand tools.
• Adheres to lockout tag-out procedures.
• Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs as necessary.
• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.
• Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
• Know how to quickly set up all machines, adjust fills, program coders, label machines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Highly motivated, results-oriented, driven.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to use a computer.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.
• Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snowblowers, lawnmowers, and small hand tools.
• Able to work well with Supervision, carry out assigned tasks.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures.

Education Required

• High school diploma required.
• Some technical school training in mechanics or electrical work beneficial.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Able to work in high heat and humidity or cold and dry conditions indoors/outdoors.
• Full range of motion to lift, carry, walk, climb around equipment and facilities.
• Work in elevated positions on ladders, lifts, and platforms.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds and heavier weights with assistance.
• Have the ability to work around and troubleshoot moving electro/mechanical equipment utilizing proper safety procedures.

Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager.

Hours: M-F 3:00PM - 11:30PM.
