Job summary

NORPEL, also known as the Northern Pelagic Group, LLC, seeks a Maintenance Tech for the 2nd shift in Hazle Township, PA. The role focuses on maintaining and upgrading refrigerated warehouse and production facilities, with a strong emphasis on reliability and safety.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of mechanical/electrical experience, equipment familiarity (conveyors, PLCs, gear boxes), and the ability to lift heavy loads. A valid driver’s license is required, with up to 10% travel possible.

Qualifications

• 2+ years mechanical and electrical experience maintaining forklifts and warehouse equipment or combination of experience and trade school.
• Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Must have a valid Driver’s license and transportation.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 100 pounds and carrying 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform upgrades to refrigerated warehouse space with the Maintenance/Engineering team as required.
• Maintain existing warehousing & production facilities in effective operating condition.
• Inspect and repair machinery and facility systems including electrical and plumbing to prevent downtime.
• Coordinate project status with supervisor to prevent unplanned production downtime.
• Complete Work Orders for Annual, Monthly, Weekly, and Daily PMs.
• Support and manage Maintenance and Engineering projects as needed.
• General building maintenance including light electrical.
