Job summary

Ultralife Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Tech/Shift Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Newark, NY. The role blends supervision of production staff with hands-on maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and robotic systems, including Allen-Bradley hardware and RSLogix software.

The position requires 5+ years in manufacturing, 3+ years of supervisory experience, and strong mechanical/electrical skills. 4-10s schedule (Mon-Thu, 4:30pm-3:00am) with full benefits and day-one eligibility.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years of direct supervision of personnel.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley hardware, RSLogix, and robots preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints and understand control systems.
• Strong math, computer and electronics skills.
• Knowledge of SPC and FMEA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve production goals with scheduled staff assignments and lean initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR in screening, interviewing and selecting staff.
• Train production staff in manufacturing processes and SOPs.
• Maintain and repair mechanical/electrical systems and automated equipment.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve safety, quality and costs.
