Job summary

Wayne Farms is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Texas to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on large manufacturing equipment such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems and conveyors. The role includes inspecting machines, diagnosing root causes, ordering parts, and reporting on work performed.

On-the-job training and benefits from day one are provided, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational certificate in appropriate field (i.e. welding, maintenance, electrical, etc.) preferred.
• Ability to take and pass internal required testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, including cleaning, oiling, lubricating, and changing belts as necessary.
• Identify root causes of breakdowns; repair to reduce downtime.
• Record and report damaged parts and install replacements as needed.
• Prepare reports documenting work performed.
• Maintain shop areas, inventory, and tools.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular machine maintenance.
• Collaborate on modifications and test runs with product team.
• Identify improvement opportunities and participate in solution implementation.
• Wear PPE to promote a zero-accident culture.
