Job summary

Cascade Die Casting Group in Sparta, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform installation, repair and preventive maintenance on die casting machinery and facility systems. The role requires hands-on electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints, schematics, and diagrams for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Reading, writing and basic shop math.
• Experience or training in use of testing equipment.
• Experience in proper use of tools.
• Valid forklift license.
• Valid Crane license.
• Valid Aerial license.
• Valid Lock Out Tag Out License.
• Basic hydraulic and welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical operations to install, maintain and repair die casting machines and related equipment.
• Diagnoses and corrects electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical faults.
• Installs and repairs electrical controls including PLCs.
• Inspects machines and prepares maintenance reports.
• Maintains records and assists other maintenance personnel.
• Supports wastewater management and safety compliance.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities.
• Maintains proper documentation and communicates issues to supervisors.
