Job summary

Employment Solutions is hiring a Maintenance Technician II for our client in Forest, VA to join a leading direct mail manufacturing team. The role focuses on routine and preventive maintenance of production machinery, troubleshooting, and supporting operators to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in maintenance, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and the ability to read blueprints. This is a 2nd shift direct hire opportunity with a safety-focused, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and maintenance best practices.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in noisy environments.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Set up and prepare equipment for production operations.
• Assist machine operators with daily maintenance needs and problem-solving.
• Inspect and test equipment to identify potential issues before they cause disruptions.
• Order and install replacement parts and perform lubrication as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Support and train other technicians on troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and organized work environment, following all safety standards.
• Report and communicate any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions promptly.
