Job summary

J&J Snack Foods Corp. in Paducah, KY is seeking a Utility Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift. The role focuses on maintenance and operation of plant equipment, systems, buildings and utilities, with weekend work required and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities include installing, testing, repairing and troubleshooting production equipment; performing preventive maintenance; reading wiring diagrams; supporting projects with safety as a priority; travel about 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years working as a maintenance or service technician.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs or more on a regular basis; occasional 70+ lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, adjust, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot operation systems and components.
• Work with Preventive Maintenance Program and Maintenance Work Orders.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor on projects to ensure safe, proper completion.
• Operate maintenance equipment and test tools, read wiring diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Be available for on-call on a rotating basis including days, nights and weekends.
• Support production equipment across Pre-Pack, Bulk, Cups, Sanitation and Batching.
