Job summary

J&J Snack Foods, a leader in the snack food industry, is hiring a Utility Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift with weekend requirements. The role covers maintenance and operation of plant equipment, buildings, and utilities across the facility.

Responsibilities include installation, testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, along with working with the Maintenance Supervisor on multiple projects. Will use automation systems and read electrical drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of (2) years working as a maintenance or service technician.
• Strong demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs or more regularly; occasional lifts to 70 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to pass a Background Check.
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, adjust, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot operation systems and components.
• Active with UPKEEP ( Preventive Maintenance Program and Maintenance Work Orders) and perform properly.
• Work with the Maintenance Supervisor on all projects to ensure they are completed properly and safely.
• Utilize automation systems ( HMI screen troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives).
• Operate Maintenance equipment (tools, testing equipment, and meters).
• Perform in-depth troubleshooting to diagnose production equipment malfunctions (motors, VFDs, sensors, and control circuits).
• Perform service calls on production equipment for all Pre-Pack, Bulk, Cups, Sanitation, and Batching lines.
• Read and understand wiring diagrams and electrical drawings.
