Job summary

Ferrara in Itasca, Illinois is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a 2nd shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM). You will oversee a group of Mechanics, assign daily work orders, and support project work, equipment installation, and general building maintenance to keep the plant operating safely and at peak condition.

Responsibilities include managing staff, ensuring planned maintenance, reporting hazards, conducting daily rounds, coordinating with operations, maintaining records, and training technicians on

Qualifications

• Experience in building/plant maintenance or general maintenance.
• Experience in electrical construction, controls or troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of machinery repair techniques, welding, pipefitting, and use of hand & power tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop direct staff; assign daily work orders.
• Coordinate maintenance, installation, and repair across the facility.
• Conduct daily rounds and communicate with operations to minimize downtime.
• Ensure GMP and safety policies are followed and maintain OSHA compliance.
• Maintain maintenance records and generate reports with recommendations.
