Job summary

Confidential Liquid Beverage Manufacturer in the Charlotte area is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead technicians, troubleshoot equipment, and drive reliability across the plant.

You will plan preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, mentor technicians, manage small projects, and partner with Production, Quality, and Safety teams to meet operating and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
• At least two years of education beyond high school through college or technical school.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, PLCs, and industrial control networks.
• Ability to troubleshoot production equipment and guide technicians through complex repairs.
• Strong planning, communication, problem‑solving, and team leadership skills.
• Availability to work the stated second‑shift schedule with flexibility for additional coverage.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance technicians, communicate priorities, and hold the team accountable for safe, effective work.
• Coordinate emergency repairs while ensuring preventive maintenance and scheduled work are completed.
• Plan upcoming maintenance activities around technician availability, equipment needs, and production schedules.
• Investigate recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions using root cause analysis.
• Develop technicians through coaching, performance feedback, and technical and safety training.
• Track work orders and maintenance performance to identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Support spare parts availability and organized maintenance storeroom practices.
• Partner with Production, Quality, and Safety teams to meet operating and food safety requirements.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors in accordance with plant safety procedures.
• Manage smaller maintenance and capital projects, including scheduling, resource coordination, and cost tracking.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support established quality management systems.
