2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor

JBS is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor! This position is a management role.

Base Salary Range of $75k-$100k

Position Description

• Provides leadership and direction to the plant maintenance department responsible for repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment in manufacturing operations.
• Responsible for eliminating all causes of failure and ensuring full useful life in coordination with daily maintenance completed by operating personnel.
• Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation to ensure continuous production operations.
• Creates and manages the maintenance and stores budgets.
• Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
• Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
• Flexible working shifts.
• Knowledge of HACCP and Health & Safety concerns.

Essential Functions

• Execute plant-specific vision and mission to assure continuous improvement and alignment with corporate vision.
• Ensure that all manufacturing/facility systems are properly resourced and that resources are efficiently utilized.
• Direct maintenance supervisors and hourly maintenance associates to meet plant objectives in safety, quality, cost, and customer service.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and maintenance repair to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime.
• Apply sound mechanical and electrical solutions to resolve hindrances to plant efficiencies and drive continuous improvement.
• Implement and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Manage maintenance department costs within budgetary guidelines.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels for standard replacement parts.
• Manage buildings and grounds to ensure GMP compliance and a professional appearance.
• Perform analysis to identify and resolve recurring operational issues.
• Schedule inspections and coordinate certifications with authorities.
• Ensure environmental compliance.
• Drive employee engagement, training, and development to meet manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goals.
• Communicate results and action plans effectively to employees and managers.
• Collaborate with Human Resources to address employee issues.
• Work with finance to execute and monitor the maintenance budget.
• Initiate cost-saving measures.
• Ensure maintenance operations are safe and compliant with quality and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The environment may include cold and hot temperatures and may require the use of sharp tools such as knives.
