Job summary

Oliver Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, and improving presses and other manufacturing equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, extensive experience with industrial machinery, and capability in welding, machining, and fabrication. 5+ years of experience and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

5+ years mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Hands-on experience repairing and rebuilding industrial equipment.
Experience with machining, welding, and fabrication.
Ability to operate a lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, and drill press.
Ability to perform various types of welding.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Electrical work certifications are required.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair presses and other manufacturing equipment.
Collaborate with supervisors and production crews to identify performance issues.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine repair solutions.
Rebuild machines, equipment, and components as needed.
Research and implement equipment modifications to improve reliability.
Communicate with manufacturers and vendors regarding parts and repairs.
Decide whether repairs should be in-house or outsourced.
Maintain inventory of mechanical parts and identify suppliers.
