Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for Largo, FL, on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 2PM-10:30PM). You will install, maintain and repair complex electrical, mechanical, and facility systems, troubleshoot issues, and work from blueprints and maintenance orders.

Safety, teamwork and productivity are essential as you support plant operations. The role requires 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, strong reading of drawings, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3-5 years of on-the-job maintenance experience.
• Ability to read, communicate and interpret English safety rules, operating instructions and blueprints.
• Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, pneumatics/hydraulics, electronic, facility maintenance and welding.
• Strong communication, teamwork and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, service and repair machine tools, plant equipment and facilities.
• Inspect equipment and diagnose faults, analyze failures and adjust accordingly.
• Read blueprints, drawings and maintenance orders to perform required tasks.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in the work area, follow 5S and PPE rules.
• Collaborate with other departments and management to meet customer needs.
• Operate tools and maintenance systems; document activity and results.
