Job summary

Movement Search and Delivery is partnering with a manufacturing company in the El Paso, TX area to identify a Maintenance Mechanic for 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm).

The role encompasses installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of complex production equipment in a high-volume, automated setting. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and be capable of working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced production setting.
• Good math skills and ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete required paperwork.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an industrial powered lift truck (forklift) permit.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on metal stamping presses, dies, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, automation, robotics, laser cutters, CNC turret presses, and powder coating/paint line equipment.
• Visually inspect and test machinery; diagnose malfunctions with operators and supervisors.
• Dismantle defective machines; install new or repaired parts, fabricating components when necessary.
• Clean and lubricate mechanical components.
• Repair or replace gauges, valves, regulators, and other systems.
• Set up and operate machine tools to fabricate or repair parts.
• Use cutting torch and welding equipment to cut, join, and repair metal structures.
• Assist with die changes, hanging steel coils, and washing dies post-production run.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on facility structures.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to procedures and schedules.
• Maintain maintenance records and work orders.
