We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic for our client in the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires flexibility in working hours, including potential overtime and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
2. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to ensure minimal downtime.
3. Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
4. Read and interpret schematic drawings, PLC control programs, hardware relay logic diagrams, and pneumatic loops.
5. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
6. Utilize machine shop tools effectively for maintenance and repair tasks.
7. Perform basic electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, welding, and fabrication work.
8. Maintain and repair bakery equipment to ensure optimal performance.
9. Collaborate with other maintenance team members to achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years in the maintenance mechanic industry.
• Availability: Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machine shop tools and food safety regulations.
• Problem-Solving: Self-motivated, quick learner with a positive attitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Technical Knowledge: Ability to interpret motor control circuit diagrams, PLC control programs, hardware relay logic diagrams, and pneumatic loops.
• Multidisciplinary Skills: Knowledge of basic electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, welding, and fabrication. Familiarity with bakery equipment is a plus.
• Experience: 5+ years as a maintenance mechanic or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Maintenance Programs: Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Special Skills: Proficiency in electrical work and welding.
• Location: Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to City of Industry, CA before starting work.
• Travel: Willingness to travel as required.
