Job summary

Aramark is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Manager to lead facility, maintenance, and operational support in a unionized manufacturing environment. You will drive reliability, safety, and cost-effective operations while collaborating with client leadership and production teams.

You will develop supervisors, oversee preventive maintenance, and manage budgets, capital projects, and vendors to achieve key performance metrics and continuous improvement across the facility.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of maintenance, facilities, manufacturing operations, or industrial management experience in a unionized environment.
• Experience working with a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and union leadership.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, facility systems, preventive maintenance programs, and equipment reliability practices.
• Experience troubleshooting operational, maintenance, and production issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Proven leadership to develop teams, drive accountability, and foster positive labor-management relations.
• Proficient in HVAC, conveyors, boilers, electrical distribution, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mobile equipment.
• Experience with CMMS (Maximo, SAP PM, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills with hourly employees, union representatives, leadership, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead all facility, maintenance, custodial, and operational support activities in a union manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
• Develop supervisors and front-line employees, fostering accountability, employee engagement, and positive labor-management relations.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support production objectives.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for facility, equipment, and operational issues, implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, safety, client, and collective bargaining agreement requirements.
• Manage departmental budgets, labor planning, capital projects, contractors, and vendors while driving cost-effective operations.
• Partner with client leadership and cross-functional teams to improve operational performance, achieve KPIs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
