Job Description
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
- Provide troubleshooting and repair of mechanical malfunctions.
- Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
- Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
- Complete appropriate paperwork and reports.
- Comply with lockout/tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
- Perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Diagnose and repair equipment without supervision.
- Start all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.
- Assist other mechanics as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work in environments with varying temperatures, humidity, dust, and noise.
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and climbing ladders, lifts, and scaffolds. Lifting up to 70 lbs may be required.
Minimum Requirements
- Attach resume to showcase experience.
- Maintenance experience of 6 months, enrollment in an industrial maintenance program, or one year of classroom training from a technical college. Food industry experience is preferred.
- Applicants from Benton, Washington, and Madison counties in Arkansas will be considered.
- Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without accommodation.
