Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance Generalist to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment while upholding safety and Tyson policies. The role involves documenting actions, responding to breakdowns, and performing preventive maintenance as scheduled on a 2nd shift in the United States.
The candidate should have 2+ years of maintenance experience or completed Industrial Maintenance Training, with strong communication and organizational skills.
Maintenance Generalist are responsible for but not limited to: Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations Lubricate equipment with various grease and oils Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule Complete appropriate paperwork and reports Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed Perform janitorial services if needed Perform other duties as assigned Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, and humid. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job and perform any other duties assigned.
