Job summary

Victaulic is hiring a 2nd Shift Machinist (Tool Maker / Mold Maker) for the Nephi, UT Horizon Foundry Facility. You will read blueprints, set up CNC Mills and turning centers, and prepare precision components for heavy industrial use.

The role requires basic GD&T knowledge and the ability to work with micrometers and calipers. The position offers full-time hours, 4-day weeks with 10-hour shifts and overtime as required, with opportunities for growth and skills development within a global

THE ROLE

We're hiring for Machinists at our Foundry Facility in Nephi, UT. As a member of our team, you'll put your precision skills to work crafting, machining, and fine-tuning critical components that keep heavy industrial operations running at peak performance while turning raw castings into high-quality finished products.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and interpret GD&T.
• Use micrometers, calipers, indicators and all common machining tools.
• Able to use basic math, geometry and trigonometry.
• Set up and operate machines by installing pallets, vises, tombstones, and fixtures.
• Maintains specifications by taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Operate an overhead crane and drive a forklift.
• Write and Edit G code and M code programs as required.
• Operate 3 axis vertical CNC Mills.
• Operate CNC Mills Lathes and Turning Centers.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain equipment using preventative maintenance.
• Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
• Experience in rubber mold building preferred but not required.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Moderate walking, standing, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work around moving objects, and with machinery with moving parts.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Minimum of 1 year machining experience/education required.
• 2+ Years Technical schooling preferred.
• 5+ years on the job experience preferred.
• High School graduate will be considered.
• Able to work well with others.
