Description

Set up and operate CNC and Manual O.D. Grinders.

Key Accountabilities

• Set up all tools, fixtures, and controls for each new job.
• Work from part drawings and instructions to create quality parts.
• Read and modify CNC programs, making necessary offsets.
• Inspect in-process parts to ensure they meet specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe workplace following company policies and core values.
• Follow safety requirements, participate in Safety 5Ys and training.
• Produce quality parts, assist in creating SOPs & WIs, participate in Quality 5Ys, ensure ISO compliance, and use measurement devices properly.
• Participate in shift start meetings, utilize Visual Daily Management (VDM), and complete paperwork.
• Operate overhead cranes up to 10 tons.
• Implement RBS methods within your cell.
• Train others as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience with Manual or CNC OD Grinders.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Proficiency in reading basic measuring tools.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of metals and machining measurements.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, work instructions, ISO procedures.
• Record basic information accurately.
• Basic arithmetic skills and computer literacy.
• Problem-solving skills to adapt practices to new conditions.
• Ability to read OD micrometers and use gages properly.
• Operating overhead cranes up to 10 tons.
