Job summary

NSI Industries is seeking a Machining Set Up Mechanic for 2nd shift at our Bridgeport Fittings facility in Stratford, CT. You will set up tapping, threading and automatic assembly equipment, troubleshoot machining issues, and ensure guarding and safety systems are maintained.

The role requires strong mechanical ability, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work in a 100% plant environment with noise and heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work on second shift in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up tapping, threading and automatic assembly equipment.
• Troubleshoot and correct machining problems.
• Maintain and Set-Up safety equipment and guarding.
• Monitor tooling to minimize repairs and meet standards.
• Some tools include snows, single spindles, automatics and threading machines.
