Job summary

Altium Packaging located in New Castle, PA, is seeking a Machine Technician II for the 2nd shift (3:50pm-12:20am). The role requires auto mechanic experience, motor repair know-how, and strong troubleshooting abilities to operate blow-mold, grinders, trimmers, and conveyors.

You will perform maintenance to keep lines running and follow GMP guidelines. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of machine operator experience, intermediate math and computer skills, and a HS diploma or GED; Altium offers

Qualifications

• Intermediate mathematical skills are required.
• Intermediate computer experience.
• Three plus years’ equivalent machine operator experience.
• Prefer High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of Altium Machine Technician Level II training.

Responsibilities

• Operate blow-mold, grinders, trimmer machines and conveyors.
• Troubleshoot process problems and perform minor maintenance on the production line.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Demonstrate mastery of entry-level Machine Operator skills and teach Level-1 skills.
• Maintain quality control and blow mold process procedures.
• Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and mechanical changes.
• Train entry-level operators and shadow other operators as needed.
• Handle color changes with minimal product loss.
