Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily machine shop operations on 2nd shift.
• Lead, coach and develop bargaining unit employees under the union contract.
• Schedule work assignments based on production priorities and deadlines.
• Review orders, blueprints and specs to ensure efficient planning.
• Monitor performance, quality, scrap and efficiency; implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance to resolve issues and reduce scrap.
• Collaborate with Engineering to improve processes and tooling.
• Order tooling, supplies and maintain inventory levels.
• Partner with Materials, Purchasing and Production Planning for material readiness.
• Participate in continuous improvement focused on productivity and cost reduction.
• Train staff on safety, machine operation and quality standards.
• Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean work environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist with budgeting and labor planning.
